DHANALAKSHMI TAMIL NEW YEAR SEVA (Since 2023)

The Dhanalakshmi Tamil New Year Seva is a celebratory and inclusive initiative launched in 2023 to mark the arrival of the Tamil New Year with spiritual devotion, community service, and cultural pride. Conducted on the eve of Puthandu (Tamil New Year), the program focuses on spreading joy, blessings, and support to all members of society, especially those who are underprivileged or marginalized.

At the heart of this service is the distribution of prasadam—blessed offerings from the goddess—and Chithirai Kai Neettam, a traditional ritual gift, at the Mandaikadu Amman Temple. This ensures that devotees not only experience the spiritual significance of the festival but also feel the joy and abundance that accompanies the New Year celebrations.

The initiative extends beyond the temple, reaching underprivileged communities to make the festivities accessible to everyone. By doing so, the program reinforces social equality, inclusivity, and community bonding, allowing people from all walks of life to partake in the cultural and spiritual celebrations of the New Year.

Since its inception, the Dhanalakshmi Tamil New Year Seva has benefited approximately 15,000 individuals, providing them with prayers, blessings, and essential gifts to start the year with hope and prosperity. Beyond the material offerings, the program instills a sense of pride, belonging, and cultural connection, emphasizing that festivals are a shared celebration of faith, tradition, and community spirit.

In essence, this service is a beautiful blend of devotion, generosity, and cultural celebration, ensuring that the Tamil New Year is joyful, inclusive, and spiritually uplifting for everyone involved.
