HARICHANDRA PUBLIC CRIMATORIUM (Since 2021)
The Harichandra Public Crimatorium is a compassion-driven initiative established in 2021 to provide dignified cremation services for individuals who pass away without family support or financial means. This service reflects the core values of humanity, respect, and social responsibility, ensuring that every individual receives proper funeral rites, regardless of their social, economic, or family situation.
The program is meticulously organized to conduct cremations with formal rites, following traditional customs and rituals that honor the deceased. Volunteers and staff manage all aspects of the process, including transportation, preparation of the pyre, ceremonial procedures, and post-cremation arrangements, ensuring that the final rites are conducted with dignity, reverence, and care.
Since its inception, 37 individuals have been respectfully cremated under this service. Beyond the logistical and ritual support, the Harichandra Public Crimatorium provides emotional and spiritual solace to the community, assuring that no one is deprived of their last rites due to lack of resources or familial support.
This initiative not only addresses the practical challenges faced by marginalized or abandoned individuals but also reinforces social equality and compassion, reminding society of the importance of caring for every member, even in death.
